Salary: FTE Salary £25,583 - £25,989, Pro-rata Salary £17,207.52 - £17,480.60 (Salary dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Fixed Term, Term Time only
Working Pattern: Full time 8.30am to 3.00pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities Support our Pupils- Support pupils to undertake agreed learning activities.
- Adapt your support for pupils with varying needs including SEND and EAL, using agreed techniques.
- Assist pupils with additional personal needs, including social, health, physical, hygiene and welfare.
- Support the class teacher/SENDCO to implement Individual Education and Behaviour Plans and Educational Health Care Plans.
- Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance.
- Provide feedback to pupils on their progress and achievement, under the guidance of a teacher.
- Help pupils access learning activated through specialist support, this may include liaising with internal and external professionals including therapists, medical staff, and education specialists.
- To deliver, with training, daily phonics sessions to an individual/group of children.
- To help pupils in various group sizes including intervention groups and 1:1.
- To provide 1:1 support for key children.
- Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
- To help pupils develop study and organisational skills.
- To reinforce learning and check understanding.
- To keep targeted pupils on task and build motivation.
- Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate.
- Assist the teacher to promote good pupil behaviour and deal promptly with conflicts in line with school procedures.
- Identify and solve potential challenges for the pupils you support, to enable a positive learning environment for all.
- Oversee the preparation of classrooms with learning materials and resources to best enable teaching and learning.
- Provide detailed feedback to the teacher on achievements, progress, and concerns for the pupils you support and keep accurate records as required.
- Support with marking and delivering feedback to pupils as appropriate.
- Correct use of equipment and resources to meet the lesson plans/needs, including IT.
- Determine the need for, prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources.
- To work under the instruction of teaching staff to enable quality learning for all pupils. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside or with small groups or 1:1.
- Liaise with the Class Teachers to work as part of a team to support children’s learning. This will often involve supporting children with particular learning needs, or gaps in their learning that need closing.
- To develop an increasing understanding, knowledge and level of skill in order to support children’s learning and social and emotional development.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Qualifications- GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or higher)
- Support Teaching and Learning Qualification [level 3]
- The ability to use IT effectively to support tasks and activities
- Good written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
- A commitment to own continuous professional development and learning
- Demonstrates a commitment to treating others fairly, consistently and with respect championing our inclusive culture

- Approachable and patient
- Committed to the safeguarding of young people
- Willingness to participate in training, particularly First Aid and Team-Teach
