Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step?

Aspire People are currently recruiting HILTAs and experienced Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester.

With schools now back for the new academic year, we're working with schools looking for confident support staff who can take on greater responsibility within the classroom, support teachers and provide additional leadership across learning and pupil support.

This is particularly suited to an experienced HLTA or Level 3 TA who is confident working independently and would like to take on more responsibility.

The Role May Include:
  • Providing whole-class cover when required
  • Delivering planned lessons and learning activities
  • Leading 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Supporting teachers with classroom preparation
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
  • Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress
  • Supporting behaviour and classroom routines
  • Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
  • Working across different year groups where required
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
We're Looking For:
  • HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
  • Level 3 TA qualification would be advantageous
  • Recent UK primary school experience
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Reliable and professional approach
