INVESTMENT ANALYST
Horsham Hybrid working available after training £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
Our client, a leading UK professional network, is looking for a Investment Analyst to join their Investment Management team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their investment career who is looking to develop their knowledge and gain valuable hands‑on experience across fund research, investment analysis and portfolio management. You'll work closely with experienced investment professionals and gain exposure to a broad range of investments and financial markets.
What you'll be doing:- Supporting the Investment team and senior leadership with fund research and analysis to help enhance model portfolios
- Researching a broad range of asset classes, including OEICs, Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts, ETFs, Model Portfolios, DFMs and Life & Pension funds
- Producing market commentary and performance analysis
- Preparing formal research reports for presentation to the internal Investment Committee
- Carrying out administration across investment platforms and supporting day‑to‑day investment activity
- Monitoring financial news and market developments and sharing relevant insights with the team
- Responding to client queries and providing support with investment administration
- Using investment research software and maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date data
- IMC qualified, studying towards the qualification, or genuinely interested in working towards it
- Around 1 year's experience in investment analysis, financial services or a similar role
- A genuine interest in investments and financial markets
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- The ability to interpret performance information and communicate findings clearly, including to senior stakeholders
- A calm and organised approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to communicate across all levels
- A team player with a flexible, positive and can‑do attitude
- Customer‑focused and responsive to the needs of others
- Keen to learn, develop and build a long‑term career within investment management
- Reliable, organised and willing to take ownership of your work
- Naturally curious about financial markets and keen to develop your investment knowledge
