The Medication Technician (Med Tech) is responsible for the monitoring of the medication program and to oversee all activity in the medication room. Provide a high level of customer service to both residents and team members while promoting CRISTA Senior Living Service Standards. Oversee residents’ self‑medication and assist the Resident Services Director or Director of Nursing in training new medication assistants and providing mentoring and shadowing.

Support the caregiving staff as needed with care needs and transfers.

• Medication Management:
  Perform medication set‑up and assist residents with self‑administration; observe and practice the Seven "Rights" of Medication Administration; notify Resident Services Director of concerns; assure timely delivery; count narcotics per procedure and sign the count sheet; transcribe new medication orders correctly.
• Medication Documentation:
  Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records immediately after assistance; record reasons for PRN medication; keep records current and file information appropriately.
• Resident Care:
  Assist with updating care/service plans; ensure operational and regulatory policies are adhered to; assist residents with appointments, vital signs, CBG checks, and delegated duties; perform apartment visits; assist residents with ADL tasks and emergency situations; perform services as a NOC shift Medication Assistant (laundry, housekeeping, dining room setup, etc.).
• Resident Safety:
  Keep environment safe and clean; maintain appropriate medication storage; follow infection control procedures; observe residents for safety and report changes; respond to emergency signals; be contact person for emergency personnel.
• Service Standards:
  Assist and support the care staff; mentor and teach in accordance with Senior Living service standards and Christian discipleship; answer phone calls professionally; provide a warm, home‑like environment; uphold all Washington state rules and regulations; be available for state surveyors.
