Customer Support Representative at TSI

This entry level Customer Support Representative serves TSI’s customers and Sales teams by providing product and service information, processing sales orders, documenting all customer contacts, resolving product and service problems, and creating quotes. This individual will work within their assigned regional markets and have the opportunity to develop strong partnerships with their internal Sales teams. The Customer Support Representative plays an important role as a supportive and contributing member of the overall team.

Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide superior customer service in support of moderate to high volume incoming calls from external TSI customers and TSI Field Sales representatives.
  • Utilize multiple systems and resources to provide information on pricing, order status, terms & conditions, service process, and product specifications.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries by generating sales leads and creating quotes as needed.
  • Create and maintain customer master data.
  • Document customer calls and provide follow up to ensure resolution, if necessary.
  • Support assigned Regional Sales Managers and Direct Sales Specialists as central point of contact in regards to – quote generation, incomplete order resolution, product lead estimations and general troubleshooting.
  • Review and correct customer orders prior to entering into SAP.
  • Follow internal policies and best practices to provide accurate, valid and complete information utilizing the appropriate methods, tools and resources.
  • Drive individual/team performance goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience and create efficiencies in the organization as a whole.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need?

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required with 3+ years of Customer Support, Inside Sales or equivalent experience OR 2-year degree (Technical or Associates) with 1+ year of Customer Support, Inside Sales or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree, with no experience necessary.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, including SAP.

Knowledge

  • Active listener with strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Motivated and energized by working in a team environment.
  • Inquisitive problem solver with strong technical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and best practices.
  • General understanding of manufacturing and service delivery systems/processes.
  • Exposure to/involvement in business-to-business sales.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
