$85,000 - $95,000, DOE

As a Machine Design Engineer in Shoreview, MN, you may: lead the design and development of complex machinery and automated systems that perform specialized tasks through custom-programmed motion control; pply mechanical engineering principles to create innovative solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and safety in manufacturing and production environments; collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and manufacturing specialists, to integrate mechanical designs with automation and control systems;

review and refine designs to ensure compliance with performance requirements, cost targets, and quality standards; support prototype builds, testing, and validation of new machinery, making iterative improvements based on results; document designs, processes, and improvements to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

Onsite - Shoreview, MN

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in machine design, automated machinery, or robotic systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical motion systems and their integration with custom-programmed controls
• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts clearly
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
