Position OverviewAs a Field Service Technician on our Service team, you will be the primary interface with customers during installs and after projects are complete. You will ensure maximum uptime of equipment for our customers, while also identifying potential sales opportunities for aging equipment or where enhancements or modifications might be needed. This role involves a variety of systems including standard products and custom projects in life science, friction‑stir welding, material handling, robotics, aerospace, environmental, and other applications.
SuccessCriteria
- Experience in troubleshooting, inspection, calibration, service and repair of custom automated assembly, advanced manufacturing, and materials handling systems.
- Ability to evaluate and recommend repairs and upgrades, and then execute these repairs, upgrades and commissioning equipment.
- Strong communication skills for providing remote support and troubleshooting while traveling to customer sites.

Hourly rate: $36.00 - $46.00 per hour (eligible for overtime pay per applicable labor laws).
Requirements- US Person
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of previous field service experience with: custom automation, friction‑stir welding, nuclear or crane systems preferred; emphasis on support and repair of electrical and controls systems preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wire diagrams
- Physical ability to work with standing, walking, bending, crawling, and working at heights
- Computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA codes or regulations preferred
- Travel averages up to 50‑75% (scheduled in advance)
- Valid driver’s license without restriction
- Associate degree in Automation, Industrial Electricity, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
