The corrosion supervisor is responsible for the supervision of activities related to corrosion control and pipeline integrity within Division 7 (IL, IA & IN) and other locations as needed.
Reporting location will be NGPL Station 113 (Shorewood, IL). Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- The proper design, installation, operation, and maintenance of cathodic protection equipment and other corrosion control facilities on high-pressure natural gas pipeline systems.
- The preparation of written documents including action plans, closure reports, technical papers, site-specific plans, bid packages, annual corrosion reviews, emails, budgets, etc.
- Recognize corrosion related concerns and coordinate corrosion control tests, inspections, measurements, surveys, and evaluate data collected to ensure effective operation of corrosion control facilities.
- Supervising the installation and maintenance of corrosion control facilities and applicable record keeping.
- Analyze the corrosion control data as required by regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Analyze corrosion control data collected into the American Innovations Pipeline Compliance System software program.
- Lead efforts to design and implement effective long term cathodic protection systems.
- Lead and assist with the development of cost estimates, drawings, job specifications and contract bid documents for the completion of capital improvement projects.
- Assist with the implementation and validation of the company pipeline integrity program.
- Specify appropriate painting and coating systems.
- Participate in regulatory and company inspections/audits.
- Assist local management with corrosion control status reviews.
- Provide corrosion control subject matter expertise as necessary to support division assets.
- Other duties as requested.
