Responsibilities:- Oversee food preparation, recipe creation, and selection of specials and items for our "Grab & Go" case.
- Maintain attractive prepared foods displays, supporting our vision and standards.
- Ensure food quality, freshness, presentation, and quantity meet all standards.
- Maintain high productivity levels and keep kitchen schedules within budget.
- Hire and schedule bakery, kitchen, and line staff.
- Control inventory, purchase food and stock supplies.
- Create specials and train line prep and line cooks.
- Assist seasonally in bakery and pastry sections.
- Train staff on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques.
- Ensure sanitation standards are met, including regular cleaning, proper food disposal, and compliance with health regulations.
- Manage food costs, waste, and employee hours.
- Customer service skills:
Friendly and courteous interactions to retain customers. - Attention to detail:
Monitoring food standards, costs, and safety. - Leadership:
Ability to lead and motivate the team during shifts, resolve conflicts, and ensure tasks are completed. - Management skills:
Handling costs, pricing, scheduling, and other managerial duties. - Organizational skills:
Keeping schedules, shipments, and cleaning routines organized. - Problem-solving skills:
Addressing employee conflicts, customer complaints, and stock issues efficiently. - Communication skills:
Clearly conveying standards, instructions, and engaging with customers. - Stamina:
Ability to work long hours around hot cooking elements and stand for extended periods. - Must possess a Food Service Sanitation Certificate.
- Relevant experience is required.
Offer:
Competitive salary ($40,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience and schedule), overtime opportunities, 401K, health insurance, and product discounts.
