Responsibilities- Assemble and disassemble all equipment in the sound department.
- Direct local crews, loading and unloading of equipment.
- Operate and maintain all sound equipment.
- Mix tracked and live elements of the show to specification and make adjustments as warranted.
- Maintain professional standards of conduct, appearance, workmanship and personal safety as set forth by Feld Entertainment.
- Comply with all safety and security procedures.
- Continuously seek to improve the quality and consistency of the sound for each show.
- Continuously seek to improve the efficiency of sound department operations.
- Conduct regular maintenance as directed by supervisors.
- Accept all other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Some related experience, or combination of training and/or education in sound reinforcement for live performances. A BA or BFA in technical theatre is preferred.
- Experience working and supervising in a union environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as sound drafts, signal flow plots, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to use and understand various test equipment and meters (volts, ohms, amperes).
- Ability to climb and work at heights (up to 40 feet) before, during and after performances, and during rigging calls, load-ins and load-outs.
- Ability and desire to tour year round.
COVID vaccination is strongly encouraged for successful candidates due to the touring nature of Feld Entertainment.
For international touring personnel: where vaccination is required by local law, provide proof to the Tour Manager or Human Resources at least six weeks before the start of the tour. The Company will maintain vaccination information confidentially and cannot guarantee employment for associates who cannot meet foreign entry requirements. Mitigation guidelines for touring employees remain in effect as required by applicable laws.
