Unit: ICU/CCU | Trauma Level: III | Beds: 12 | Ratios: typically 1:2

Start/Orientation: ASAP start | Orientation every Monday

Shift: 12s nights (6:00p–6:30a) | Modified self-scheduling; block scheduling when possible

Weekends: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule minimum

Required:

2+ years ICU experience, basic ICU equipment competency, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS

Support: RT in unit 24/7, PCT + unit secretary; house supervisor on-site 24/7

Common cases: post-cath/interventions (STEMI, LHC, IVUS/IFR/FFR), temp pacers, occasional IABP, plus pneumonia/vents, ARDS, DKA, sepsis, renal failure, post-op/EVAR, ETOH/OD, CVA post-tPA

Drips: amio, cardizem, levo/norepi, precedex, propofol, fentanyl, insulin, heparin, dopamine/dobutamine, lasix, paralytics, etc.

Float:
May float to ED or Med-Surg if experienced | No call listed
