American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Tele RN for a night shift acute care position requiring 2 years of Med Surg experience and ACLS/BLS certification.
Details- Acute care Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all 10 beds
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Nurse to patient ratios of 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, and 1-4 for pediatric patients based on acuity
- Support staff includes tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
- Float to all Med Surg units and ICU to cover Med Surg overflow patients
- Uses Allscripts EMR
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- NIHSS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg acute care experience required
- Trauma Level 3 facility
- Any color scrub permitted; scrubs not provided by facility
- Nurse managers perform rounds but do not provide direct patient care
- Limited to 3 cancellations per 13-week assignment
