Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Show Low, AZ | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week

• Provide direct patient care on a 10-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Monitor and manage patients with telemetry needs in collaboration with telemetry technicians, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on patient acuity; pediatric ratios at 1:4
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to support Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Collaborate with nurse managers who conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical acute care setting
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Comfort with floating to multiple Medical Surgical units and ICU in a Medical Surgical overflow capacity

• Work in a well-supported unit environment with dedicated telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• No cancellations expected, with a consistent schedule of 36 hours per week on night shifts
