Staff Accountant

We are looking for a dependable Staff Accountant to join a client-focused retail business in Shreveport, Louisiana. This permanent, on-site position plays an important role in keeping financial operations accurate, organized, and timely while supporting day-to-day accounting activity across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records to support business operations and decision-making.
• Compile and distribute daily sales reporting for leadership, ensuring information is complete and timely.
• Review routine retail transactions, record accounting activity, and help maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Reconcile inventory records on a regular basis and participate in physical inventory counts as needed.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including transaction tracking and follow-up.
• Calculate and maintain sales performance data, including monthly goals and commission-related reporting for the sales team.
• Prepare and submit monthly sales tax filings in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Maintain financial and operational data within company databases and assist with administrative office support when needed.
• Monitor office supply levels and coordinate building-related upkeep to help ensure smooth daily operations.
