Position Overview:
As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients in an urgent care setting. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries and providing preventive care and health education. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and lab work
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
- Adhere to all healthcare laws, regulations, and standards
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or another relevant specialty
- Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Louisiana
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or a related setting
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of patients
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
