- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
- Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.
- Applicants convicted of a felony or under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from disabilities is granted.
To protect lives and property by conducting foot and mobile security patrols, enforcing parking and traffic regulations, providing emergency services, investigating minor crimes, and making arrests when necessary. Provides limited police services.

Sample Duties- Provides foot or mobile security patrol and enforces parking regulations.
- Responds to emergencies and provides assistance.
- Prepares activity reports.
- Provides crowd and traffic control at events; may need to intervene using force to make arrests, restore order, or protect persons or property.
