Responsibilities

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Intake Counselor to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for the achievement of improving their mental health as a local pain management clinic. The Intake Counselor assesses the needs of potential patients and facilitates the admission process; maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

Education: Master’s Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.), or RN – preferably BSN.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed Louisiana RN, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC preferred.

Experience: 1‑2 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM‑V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.

Schedule: 9:30 PM – 5:30 PM
