IPS is looking for a dedicated machinist who works with hands-on precision and aims to keep critical equipment running safely and reliably. IPS emphasizes safety, growth opportunities, and continuous improvement.

• Operate manual machining tools to include engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and related equipment.
• Safely use overhead and gantry cranes and rigging as required.
• Perform mechanical measurements using dial indicators, micrometers, and portable vibration measurement equipment.
• Identify problems and make necessary adjustments related to industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators, following service center safety procedures.
• Work from drawings, sketches, and blueprints with an emphasis on attention to detail.

• 3+ years of experience as a machinist for electric motor repair (preferred).
• Ability to read micrometer measuring equipment.
• Ability to operate manual lathes of various sizes and dimensions.
• Ability to operate electro-plating equipment.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to understand and follow job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
