Industrial Electrician

** Primary Functions:*
* Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary and support production as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions

+ Repair, adjust and modify power transmission equipment

+ Repair, adjust or replace pumps and supporting equipment

+ Fabricate and repair industrial equipment including welding framework for repairs

+ Use general shop and hand tools as necessary

+ Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed

+ Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support

+ Must be forklift and golf cart certified

+ Maintain quality service by following organization standards

+ Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping

+ Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams

+ Follow all safety training and documents for this site.

+ Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance

+ Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor

+ Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s)

+ Meet department's key objectives

+ Participate in Company Safety program

+ Must understand and follow job specific SOPs

+ Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

* + Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.

+ Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.

+ Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.

+ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

+ Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Maintenance Mechanic.

+ Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance

+ Hand-eye coordination.

+ Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.

+ Ability to climb ladders up to 60 feet.

+ Ability to work with arms above head.

+ Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
