Basic Necessities Development Coordinator VISTA
Basic Necessities’ mission is to provide diapers and period product supplies at no cost to people in the Ark La Tex region who are experiencing economic challenges. Eligible recipients must be low‑income and must provide proof of income and/or government assistance. Supplies are available once every 90 days to those who qualify. Products are available based on current supply, and include baby diapers, adult diapers, period products and baby wipes.
Products must be picked up in person on the weekly schedule.

- Improve the capacity and ability of Basic Necessities to assist people in the Ark La Tex in obtaining diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies.
- Support individuals with economic need living in the Ark-LaTex to obtain diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies and allow them to use their extra funds in other important areas.
- Help improve the function of Basic Necessities’ record keeping and reporting; improve utilizing that information for marketing and outreach; and create educational opportunities to better inform parents and individuals.
- Assist in alleviating poverty by providing targeted financial relief and reducing the risk of disease.
