Overview

Retail Assistant Store Manager - 2775  are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. This position supports day-to-day store operations, leads and develops store employees, and collaborates with the Store Manager to meet financial goals and deliver strong customer service in a multi-merchandise environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will be required to commit to the company s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

This position offers an hourly wage, PLUS Assistant Store Managers earn commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay of successful Assistant Store Managers will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and asset protection procedures.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate the store s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines; strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Cash handling experience required; excellent work ethic and business sense.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Commission Plan & Pay

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Pay rates are not below local minimum wage. Details are provided during the interview process.
