Maintenance Technician at Pilots Point – Student Housing | Shreveport, LA

In this role, you’ll respond to maintenance requests, complete repairs, support unit turnovers, and help keep the property clean, safe, and fully operational. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and helping residents feel at home, this could be a great opportunity for you.

• Prior maintenance experience in student housing, multifamily, or similar environments preferred
• Strong skills in general repairs, troubleshooting, and building systems
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair (HVAC certification a plus)
• Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with students
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the day
• Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining a well-kept community
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• Valid driver’s license is required

• Complete work orders for student units and common areas
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance-related issues
• Assist with unit turns
  , including repairs, cleaning touch-ups, and inspection tasks
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce system downtime
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and inventory stocked
• Perform groundskeeping and community upkeep as needed
• Work closely with the on-site team to support student satisfaction and safety
• Participate in emergency maintenance response when required
• Compensation Range: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience
