Job SummaryAs an ET2 you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you will gain practical hands‑on experience and develop the skills necessary to become a qualified electrician.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read a tape measure, terminate wires, use hand and power tools, bend EMT and rigid conduit.
- Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and specifications.
- Test and inspect electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience installing and repairing equipment in the electrical field.
Education
- High school diploma/ GED or equivalent.
- Preferred but not required:
Certificate of completion from a trade school program or an associate’s degree in a related field. Previous education in a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
Module X Solutions partners with local schools to offer employees the option of attending an in‑house apprenticeship program. This accredited program takes 4 years to complete. Employees who join may receive regular pay increases as they progress. For Electrical Technicians that meet Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors licensing requirements, MXS will reimburse employees for the license renewal fee up to $100 per year and the one‑time testing application fee up to $120.
WorkEnvironment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary. All qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
