Structural Ironworker

We are seeking an experienced Structural Ironworker to construct and erect steel structures according to project drawings and specifications. This hands‑on role includes steel layout, rigging, field fabrication, structural connections, and work at heights.

• Read construction drawings and identify material sizes, quantities, locations, and installation orientation.
• Lay out, fabricate, hoist, and position structural steel.
• Connect columns, beams, joists, and girders using specified bolting procedures.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Install temporary bracing during erection.
• Perform welding and oxy‑fuel torch cutting as required.
• Inspect tools and equipment before use.
• Signal and coordinate movement of cranes, forklifts, and aerial equipment.
• Identify and document hazards and required safety precautions.
• Use required personal protective equipment and fall protection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least 4 years of experience as a Structural Ironworker.
• Experience with steel erection, layout, rigging, and field fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand issued‑for‑construction drawings and structural specifications.
• Knowledge of structural connections, bolting, torque and tension procedures, turn‑of‑nut methods, and Skidmore testing.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, cutting torches, torque tools, magnetic drills, chain falls, and come‑alongs.
• Knowledge of safe rigging, equipment signaling, and jobsite safety practices.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Reliable transportation.
