Overview
Managing Director, Market Growth & Sales — member of the For Health Consulting senior leadership team. Drives the organizational strategy for market growth with a focus on product development, increased sales, client acquisition and strategic partnerships. Oversees the full spectrum of activities in business development, sales operations and marketing, with emphasis on market penetration, expanding product and service lines, diversifying revenue, identifying new markets, and sourcing new clients.
Leads the organization in identifying trends and opportunities to build or extend solutions and strategically partner with identified organizations to solve complex problems. Serves as the owner of product development and introduces a sales mindset across the organization to drive profitable growth.
The Managing Director shapes the overall sales strategy to drive growth, leads innovative product design and go-to-market strategy, and manages broader relationship development to maintain client growth and retention. The role is data-driven and strategic, prioritizing business development investments to ensure proper allocation of capital, talent, and operating expenditures.
Major Responsibilities- Develop, direct and execute the organizational market growth strategy with a focus on product analysis, refinement, development; transformation and process reengineering; product sales engagement; client growth and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with solution set Managing Directors to ensure each product or service has a clearly stated, current value proposition.
- Develop, implement, and monitor metrics to measure efficiency and value-add of existing and new products for the organization and clients.
- Identify innovation trends and business opportunities, including potential strategic partnerships.
- Initiate and manage innovation projects: define scope, deliverables, success metrics; oversee project plans and risk management.
- Build productive relationships with key clients and stakeholder groups to improve market/competitor intelligence and shape campaign strategies.
- Identify, structure, negotiate and close new strategic partnerships to position products and services for growth.
- Recommend strategic investment opportunities to the Executive Leadership Team with oversight of strategic investments.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing Strategy to develop and update standardized product materials for current and future clients.
- Monitor industry trends and adapt sales strategies; provide regular SWOT analyses to mitigate risks from market changes.
- Develop long-term sales goals and revenue targets; establish and revise KPIs to measure success.
- Act as methodology expert to build skills and support business units in developing new product and service initiatives; foster a sales mindset and align pricing and contracting strategies with growth goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to enhance innovative thinking and expand long-term capabilities.
- Advise management on yearly, medium-term, and long-term growth and transformation goals; present new ideas to high-level stakeholders.
- Oversee governance for market growth initiatives, providing metrics for transparency and knowledge-building across the organization.
- Oversee market and business analysis processes to support strategic growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in strategy, leadership, business, management, healthcare science or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in an executive management position.
- 8-12 years of experience in technology, healthcare, business, marketing, or finance-related fields.
- Understanding of concepts such as RPA, AI, machine learning, and cognitive computing.
- Adaptive thinking and a strong, critical mindset.
- Strong business acumen and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and oversight.
- Forward-thinking and adaptable to dynamic situations.
- Solid understanding of innovation and its application in business.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strategic and analytical with a data-driven approach to decision making and execution.
- Master’s degree in strategy, leadership, business, management, healthcare science or related field.
