Recovery Specialist Supervisor
Veterans Inc. is seeking a motivated, compassionate Recovery Specialist Supervisor to lead and support a multidisciplinary team in our substance abuse recovery program located in Shrewsbury, MA.

Responsibilities- Assist with leading a multidisciplinary team to provide clients with necessary program information, conduct screenings and assessments, and assist with developing treatment plans and goals.
- Assist with performing intakes, evaluations, orientations, treatment planning, documentation, discharge planning, and referrals of mental health and addiction clients. Develop and document individualized treatment plans that address the needs of the client population.
- Maintain staffing 24/7 to assure client safety and adherence to state licensing requirements, uphold a strict policy of non-abandonment of client care, and act as the final line of coverage when replacement staff is unavailable.
- Coordinate with management and HR regarding disciplinary measures, employee relations, and staff training and development. Collaborate with HR to provide training for staff and assist the Clinical Manager with education on psychotherapeutic techniques and evidence‑based practices.
- Support patient engagement initiatives, outreach to de‑stigmatize counseling services, and enhance the “Culture of Care.” Understand how to treat clients with dignity and respect and de‑escalate upset clients.
- Identify and develop curricula and processes for psychosocial drug and alcohol support groups focusing on coping mechanisms and understanding addiction. Increase education, screening, care coordination, risk‑reduction interventions, and counseling for clients at risk of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other diseases associated with opioid use disorders.
- Provide required documentation and timely reports, including narratives and data reports. Maintain audit‑ready client files and documentation as required.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required; lead meetings when necessary.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years working with adults with mental illness and substance abuse disorder populations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
- Documented experience working with clients with trauma histories.
- Documented experience working within an inpatient treatment center or human services setting.
- Experience using electronic medical records preferred.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Compliance with a CORI/Background check and Veterans Inc. COVID‑19 Vaccination Policy (religious or medical exemptions considered).
