This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified chef to work at Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well‑balanced menus while working with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. You will help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work with fresh produce to deliver high‑quality and wholesome dishes, and create a warm, efficient, and fun environment. You will also be responsible for working within budget, completing regular audits, managing stock control, and assisting in leading and motivating a team.

NEED TO HAVE
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Good understanding of HACCP

Person Specification Qualifications
  • You will need to hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, a good understanding of nutrition and working with fresh seasonal food, and a good understanding of HACCP.
