Need People Soft Functional Financials Specialist (Preferred with University/Higher Education Exp)
This is a contract position for a Senior Applications Specialist to provide functional support for People Soft Student Administration (Campus Solutions) at a university.
Scope: The university has deployed several SA Modules:
Recruiting & Admissions, Campus Community, Student Records, Financial Aid, and Student Financials. The system is currently on v9.0. Other third-party products are included in the environment to support People Soft HCM and Finance.
General
Summary:
The Senior Application Specialist is primarily responsible for the support of campus business operations through centrally administered software systems. The position requires a broad application of principles, theories, and concepts of enterprise software and a working knowledge of related fields.
- Primary support for one or more People Soft modules/applications
- Familiarity with business processes and procedures as they relate to Student Financials
- Understanding of XML template building and modifications
- Analyze and troubleshoot operational issues
- Ability to create and execute test scenarios
- Ensure system remains current and compliant through patches, fixes, and enhancements
- Work with management to improve operational standards and procedures
The specialist will collaborate with campus constituents to:
- Translate functional business requirements into design criteria
- Prioritize work to meet campus expectations and deadlines
- Document functional specifications
Qualifications and Specific
Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years’ experience in a business office or Higher Education Student Administration or Finance systems setting
- 5-7 years of People Soft experience with deep functional and analytical skills in one or more modules
- 5-7 years’ experience in project life cycle phases
- Financial Aid experience a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a large complex environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional skills in providing quality customer service
- Solid interpersonal skills with ability to work well with people at many levels of the organization
