Union Yard Associate

Overview

Porter / Yard Worker at Sunbelt Rentals. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a fast-paced, safety‑focused team. This role involves stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, servicing equipment as necessary to meet specifications, and inspecting equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost or damaged items.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.50

• Station, retrieve, and inspect equipment on the location s property.
• Maintain and follow a written maintenance schedule; service equipment as needed to meet specifications.
• Inspect equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged items.
• Work in a challenging, fast-paced environment where no day is the same.
• Collaborate with teammates in a safety-focused culture.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral).
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• General mechanical aptitude; safety-focused mindset.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

The physical requirements include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.

The hourly wage depends on the agreed rate under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for this location. You become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date.
