Position Summary
Retail Store Associates play a meaningful role within the CVS Health family, shaping the future of health care for people, businesses, and communities. In a leading retail setting, you will excel in a high‑impact, customer‑focused role, working independently and as part of a team, positively impacting the lives of others.
Essential Functions- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and resolving service issues.
- Focus on the customer with a warm, friendly greeting, eye contact, and assistance in locating items.
- Accurately perform cashier duties—handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions—while following company policies.
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed.
- Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
- Assist all departments (photo, beauty, etc.) to stay fully stocked, operational, and updated with new services.
- Assist pharmacy personnel—working regular pharmacy shifts—where possible, for growth and development opportunities.
- Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs to help people on their path to better health.
- Remain upright on feet for sustained periods.
- Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
- Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal and reading small text.
- At least 16 years of age.
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High School Diploma or Equivalent—Preferred but Not Required.
