Salary: $15.75-$20.00

Summary:

The Associate ensures total operation and service that meets standards, providing customers with prompt service, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation per Price Chopper standards through supervision of Baristas. Assists the Food Service Manager with daily operating procedures that include quality Price Chopper operations, financials, and training of Barista associates.

• Consistently works to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Determine customer needs and make suggestions to meet those needs with appropriate products.
• Sample and engage in suggestive selling. End each customer transaction with a “Thank You.”
• Assist Food Service Manager in hiring new associates and coach/train new associates to Barista Certification.
• Ensure self and Certified Barista associates follow store and Price Chopper policies and procedures (Assistant and 1st Certifications).
• Follow all health, safety, and food safety guidelines for all products.
• Assist customers in product selection and maintain the customer service area, including equipment, in a clean and appealing manner.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards at all times.
• Demonstrate a customer‑oriented attitude and respond positively to customer needs.
• Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders to Price Chopper standards for self and Baristas.
• Perform all cleaning tasks in accordance with schedules and cleaning standards.
• Follow merchandising, stocking, and rotation standards; ensure equipment maintenance is followed to procedure and schedule.
• Perform all cash handling and register policies and procedures with accountability; follow inventory control policies.
• Manage product and supply orders to meet business needs and maintain all recordkeeping in accordance with Price Chopper procedures.
• Demonstrate all performance standards by completing Initial Store Training and passing Barista certification with a 90% score or better.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Satisfactory Performance Reviews.
