As an Experienced VDA / Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates and ensuring vehicles are assessed and processed efficiently through the accident repair process.
You will work closely with customers, technicians, insurers and management to ensure repairs are accurately estimated, correctly authorised and completed to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out detailed vehicle damage assessments and identify all areas requiring repair
- Produce accurate and comprehensive repair estimates using appropriate estimating systems
- Identify additional or hidden damage and prepare supplementary estimates where required
- Liaise professionally with customers, insurers, engineers and other relevant parties
- Ensure repair methods and estimates comply with manufacturer and industry standards
- Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians to maintain efficient vehicle throughput
- Monitor repair progress and communicate any changes or additional requirements
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and ensure all estimating processes are completed correctly
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
- Previous experience within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
- Strong knowledge of vehicle damage assessment and accident repair processes
- Experience producing accurate repair estimates and supplements
- Confident using automotive estimating systems and relevant technology
- Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods and industry standards
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet agreed deadlines
- Professional, organised and commercially aware approach
- Strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- IMI / ATA qualification advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
