Smithers is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Shawbury, England, United Kingdom.
The Company helps clients innovate, launch new products, meet sustainability goals, solve problems, and comply with regulations through trusted packaging and materials testing, consulting, and compliance services.
The Role involves planning, directing, and executing an industry-focused field sales strategy with a focus on distribution and packaging testing services. The successful candidate will drive profitable sales growth and manage client relationships in this client-facing role.
The Person will be a driven, strategic thinker with a passion for building partnerships and accelerating growth. They will be a natural “hunter” with a sharp commercial instinct and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving markets.
You Will Have
- A proven track record of service sales with a concentrated focus in large consumer brands or FMCG industries, ideally in technical sales, selling testing or consultancy services.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to thrive in both technical and commercially driven environments.
