Assistant QS

Job Title:

Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Location:

Shrewsbury with site visits as required

Working from the Shrewsbury office with a range of clients and working in the capacity of QS support for main contractor to employers agent on client side.

The right candidate will be presentable and confident in their ability as a QS.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing budgets and placing orders with Subcontractors

Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements.

Monitoring project costs and implementing cost-control measures.

Producing regular financial reports for management

Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is preferred.

Experience in quantity surveying with JCT contract knowledge

Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in industry-related software and tools.
