Planning Consultant

Roger Parry & Partners has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Planning Consultant to join our busy Planning team at our Head Office in Bicton, Shrewsbury.

Working alongside the firm's Planning Consultants, you will be involved in a range of rural and urban projects.

• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Collect, analyse and record data relating to the progress of planning permission applications.
• Research planning legislation and relevant policies.
• Prepare reports for internal and external use.
• Attend meetings and take minutes where required.
• Negotiate amendments to proposed plans.
• Prepare, revise and interpret maps and technical drawings.
• Check plans and documentation to ensure they meet statutory and technical requirements.
• Respond to queries during the planning application and appeals process.
• Manage planning applications and liaise with planning officers, architects and external consultants.
• Raise client invoices and assist with aged debt collection where required.

Applicants must have relevant planning experience and excellent communication, telephone and IT skills, together with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.

Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
