About Aspire People

We are currently supporting a fantastic primary school in Shrewsbury that is looking for a dedicated Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA to work in a supportive, friendly school environment, starting in January 2025.

They are seeking a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to help support teaching and learning, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing tailored support for students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with lesson delivery and supporting pupils both in groups and one‑to‑one.
  • Helping with the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Supporting students with their academic and social development, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Monitoring students’ progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom displays, activities, and maintaining a well‑organized classroom.
  • Providing support to students outside of lessons, such as during playtimes and lunch breaks.
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to support children’s individual learning needs and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage but not essential.
  • A passion for helping children succeed and make progress in their learning.
