Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Harlescott Junior School

Severn Bridges MAT - Harlescott Junior School, Appointment of a KS2 Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Grade 5 Scp 5 (£13.26‑£13.47)

28.45 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:40am – 3:10pm

Fixed Term until August 2026 (Term time only)

Required ASAP (subject to DBS clearance)

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position supports inclusive learning and pupil development across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development. You will help deliver targeted interventions, assist with classroom activities, and contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist class teachers with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Support pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and individualised support as needed.
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing.
  • Flexible, patient, and proactive in supporting learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
