Key Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Year 5 curriculum, ensuring that lessons are engaging, challenging, and tailored to meet the needs of all students.

Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where children are encouraged to explore and develop their skills across a range of subjects.

Effectively manage classroom behavior, maintaining a positive and focused atmosphere for learning.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality in teaching across the school and support cross-curricular links.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent consultations as required.

Ideal Candidate:

A qualified teacher with experience teaching Year 5 or similar upper Key Stage 2 year groups.

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Year 5 assessment requirements.

A creative, flexible, and positive approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to the individual learning needs of students.

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment.

Strong communication and team-working skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside colleagues.
