We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive special needs school in Shrewsbury. Please only apply if you have previous experience working in a special needs school or a specialist SEND setting.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of complex needs, either on a one‑to‑one basis or in small groups. You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
• Support learning activities in line with individual education plans
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
• Assist with personal care where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals

• Proven experience working in a special needs school or specialist SEND setting
