A secondary school in Telford is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to join their team after half term (February). This is a long-term, full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to teach Computer Science and inspire students to explore the world of technology.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, helping students develop problem-solving and programming skills, and assessing their progress. You will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Computer Science curriculum and support the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess Computer Science lessons to secondary students.
Provide high-quality teaching and foster a love of technology.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support.
Work closely with other teachers to develop the curriculum and resources.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Computer Science, including programming and theory.
Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level (desirable).
A passion for technology and inspiring students in STEM subjects.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
