A secondary school in Shrewsbury is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials to join their department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. The role involves teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and technical skills development. You will support students in building confidence through hands‑on learning while preparing them for GCSE coursework and assessments.

• Lesson planning
• Practical demonstrations
• Assessment of student progress
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop and food preparation environment

• Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
• Be confident delivering Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Be passionate about practical learning and student engagement
