Careers Adviser

Term Time only plus 4 weeks

Salary circa £28,000 – £33,000 pro rata, depending on experience

Thomas Telford School is seeking a motivated Careers Adviser to join our dynamic Careers Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in their career pathways, from higher education to employment, in a well-resourced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
    Support the delivery of the Careers and Employability programme

    Interview students and support career planning

    Advise on and process higher education applications

    Coordinate work experience and careers events

    Build industry links and support ‘Careers Weeks’Provide administrative support for the Careers Department
The Ideal Candidate:
    Experience working with young people in an advisory role (desirable)
    Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Knowledge of career pathways (training can be provided)
    A Level 6 careers qualification is desirable but not essential
