Music Teacher

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Shrewsbury that is seeking to appoint a Music Teacher. Serving a diverse local community, the school has been focused on driving consistent improvements in behaviour, learning routines, and overall academic outcomes, creating a positive environment where both students and staff can thrive.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Music Teacher on a long‑term temporary basis from September 2026. The successful Music Teacher will be responsible for teaching Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, supporting extracurricular opportunities where appropriate, and maintaining high standards of classroom management and achievement.

• QTS with a Music specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Music up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Music curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• The ability to assess, monitor and support student progress effectively
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
