We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in Shrewsbury on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity for a long-term role for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and supporting children at the very start of their educational journey.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The Role

You will be supporting teaching and learning within an EYFS classroom, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS provision
Working with individuals and small groups to support early development
Encouraging learning through play-based and structured activities
Supporting early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills
Assisting with observations, assessments, and learning journals
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional development
Ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment
Contract Details
Full-time position

What We're Looking For
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - essential
Experience working within EYFS (preferred)
Strong understanding of early childhood development
Warm, nurturing, and patient approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to support children's learning through play and structure
Positive attitude and willingness to get involved
