Protocol Education are recruiting for a SEND Instructor to join a nurturing and inclusive SEND school in Shrewsbury.

Staff work collaboratively to create meaningful learning experiences that promote confidence, independence, and academic progress for all learners.
The school is now seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Instructor to join their team. This role would suit experienced Cover Supervisors, Instructors, Tutors, HLTAs, overseas-trained teachers, or education professionals with strong curriculum delivery experience who are passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.
QualificationsPrevious experience delivering lessons, leading learning activities, or supporting teaching and learning within an educational setting is desirable. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK
. Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential.
- Deliver engaging lessons and learning activities aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Monitor pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and school leaders.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to promote confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment through effective behaviour management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to support positive outcomes for pupils.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Experienced in delivering lessons, leading classroom learning, or supporting curriculum delivery.
- Confident managing behaviour in a calm, patient, and positive manner.
- Able to motivate and engage pupils with a range of additional learning and communication needs.
- Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to inclusive education.
- Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Instructor, Tutor, HLTA, Learning Mentor, overseas-trained teacher, or similar education professional is highly desirable.
- Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
