Maintenance Planning Engineer Airbus Helicopters UK | RAF Shawbury, Shropshire (On-Site) 12-Month Contract | 40 Hours per Week | Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 £ 30.00 per hour PAYE | £40.11 per hour Umbrella Are you an experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer with a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness requirements? This is an exciting opportunity to join Airbus Helicopters UK at RAF Shawbury, supporting one of the UK's most important military aviation training programmes.

Working within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), you will play a key role in ensuring aircraft maintenance activities are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered, helping to maximise fleet availability and operational performance. At RAF Shawbury, Airbus is the Ministry of Defence's chosen provider for helicopter maintenance and support to the UK's Military Flying Training System. The Opportunity As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for managing maintenance and material planning activities, producing maintenance work packs, and ensuring aircraft maintenance requirements are delivered in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements. You will work closely with maintenance teams, airworthiness specialists, customer support functions and supply chain teams to ensure aircraft are maintained safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities Manage maintenance and material planning activities for allocated aircraft. Monitor aircraft maintenance status to ensure compliance with approved maintenance programmes. Produce and review line and base maintenance work packs. Plan maintenance inputs based on projected aircraft utilisation. Coordinate material requirements and raise purchase requisitions where required. Liaise with maintenance, airworthiness and customer support teams to ensure maintenance activities are delivered effectively.

Support the accomplishment of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Engineering Orders (EOs) and other airworthiness requirements. Review completed maintenance work packs and ensure planned work has been accomplished before aircraft release. Maintain accurate records within the Maintenance Information System (MIS). Produce maintenance forecasts and continuously improve planning processes and procedures. Provide wider support across the CAMO function as required.

What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements within Part CAMO / A8-25 and Part 145 / A8-23 environments. Excellent organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.

Strong IT skills and experience using digital systems and office applications. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Flexible and adaptable approach, focused on delivering to agreed timelines. Relevant aviation planning experience.

Desirable Experience using continuing airworthiness management software. Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters products and technical documentation. Aviation-related degree or equivalent qualification. Human Factors training. Recognised Part CAMO and/or Part 145 training. Security & Eligibility Requirements Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must:
