Aircraft Mechanical Fitter at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire.
Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, to support the MFTS operation.
- Assisting Certifying Engineers with the delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the requirements of the daily flying programme.
- Ensuring compliance with Aviation regulations and Company procedures.
- Accomplishment of Maintenance activities as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
- Complete maintenance to a high standard to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Assisting with aircraft maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical systems and electrical systems under the supervision of Certifying Engineers.
- Assist in day to day running of the Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
- Experience in an Aviation engineering environment
- Knowledge of UK CAA regulations
- Good knowledge of engine and airframe systems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Self-motivated and ability to work under own initiative
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible to the requirements of the company and needs of the customer
