Client Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper is needed to join a growing team in Shrewsbury, managing accounts for property rental clients. The role focuses on maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and strong client service.
Bookkeeping experience is essential; AAT or payroll knowledge is desirable but not required, with training provided. Experience in property or agriculture is a bonus.
Responsibilities- Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile client accounts, bank statements, and ledgers.
- Raise invoices, allocate payments, and support credit control.
- Process supplier invoices and manage payment cycles.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and cashflows.
- Assist with payroll processing and related administration.
- Respond to queries and liaise with clients, tenants, and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records, update systems, and support team operations.
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or bookkeeping role.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- AAT qualification (or working towards).
- Experience with in property, lettings, or agricultural sectors.
- Previous payroll experience.
