We’re looking for experienced, strategic thinkers to join STAR Housing’s Board as Co-optee Members—bringing independent expertise, constructive challenge and fresh perspective to our decision‑making.

The opportunity

As a Co‑optee Board Member, you’ll play a key role in strengthening governance and supporting high‑quality, evidence‑based decisions across:

  • Finance, audit and risk
  • Development and strategic investment
  • Asset management and sustainability

You’ll help shape long‑term strategy, scrutinise business plans and ensure we deliver value for money while protecting the interests of our customers and communities.

About you

You’ll bring senior‑level experience in areas such as finance, audit, risk, development or asset management, alongside the confidence to challenge and influence at Board level.

You’ll also have:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information
  • A collaborative, professional approach with sound judgement
  • A commitment to good governance, equality, diversity and inclusion
What you’ll do
  • Provide independent advice and constructive challenge
  • Scrutinise financial plans, investment proposals and risks
  • Support strategic direction and long‑term sustainability
  • Attend Board and subcommittee meetings throughout the year
