Trusts Tax Manager – Shrewsbury

Clark Wood is partnering with a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury to recruit an experienced Trusts Tax Manager for their growing tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong technical expertise in trusts, estates, inheritance tax, and personal taxation to manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and trusts.

The successful candidate will manage a broad portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, landlords, trusts, and owner-managed businesses.

• Manage a portfolio of trusts, estates, and private clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review trust and estate and personal tax returns.
• Advise trustees, executors, beneficiaries, and individuals on tax matters relating to trusts and estates.
• Provide guidance on inheritance tax planning, succession planning, and capital gains tax issues.
• Support estate administration from a tax perspective, including obtaining probate valuations and assisting with relevant HMRC submissions.
• Review technical work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching and mentoring.

• ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience in private client tax, with a strong focus on trusts and estates.
• Excellent understanding of UK trust taxation, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and estate administration.

• Competitive salary of £50,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
